IMPERIAL LIONS CLUB was sponsored by the Grandview, Pittsburgh, Lions Club, and received its charter from District Governor James L. Wrigley on November 28, 1952. There were 33 charter members.

Raymond M. Tourell was the first president; Raymond H. Chiri was the First Secretary. 

Lion Ray Uffelman served on several Cabinets as Zone Chairman and Deputy District Governor.
